DUCSHOP 996RS

40h/p up - 60 pounds down

When building an engine Ducshop always starts from the bottom, or as some would say, the heart of the engine - the crankshaft. Our 996RS sports a Corse "A" crank that was polished and balanced with Pankl Superbike rods and Omega 12:1 pistons. We then installed Corse deep sump cases using fully ported heads with 30mm intake valves with a 32mm exhaust seated on Beryllium seats and guides that are driven by 474 intake cam and "G" exhaust cams.

We then had to adjust the cam timing and piston squish to modify the engine for street use, making it more reliable with a smoother power delivery.

The intake is fed through 54mm throttle bodies run by a Dynojet Power Commander III, which was tuned on our in-house Dynojet 250i dyno (see dyno reading below). The air filter is a JHP that is fed by a Sebimoto carbon airbox and carbon Superbike size snorkels.

For the exhaust we chose the Termignoni 57mm to take full advantage of the engine modifications. Combined with the larger throttle bodies they give more air to the engine, allowing its full potential.

Suspension includes the Ohlins road and track forks and Ohlins Superbike shock, set up for the owners, Charles Rice's weight.

The final result was an increase in over 40h/p and a shed of at least 60 ponds.
