Protecting the environment is one of Ducshop's main concerns. Anyone who has attended a Ducshop trackday knows recycling their plastic water bottles is protocol. We also bring our own trash can to every track day and take home any recyclable waste we create, to avoid it ending up as landfill.

But we pride ourselves on going so much further than just recycling water bottles.
At the store we have a large recycling area that holds all our cardboard, plastic, glass and aluminum until we have a chance to take it to the recycling depot. We reuse as many boxes and packing material as we can and when we have too much we either recycle it or donate it to a local shipping company that gives a small donation that we give to the Tibet Fund.

Ducshop even has a worm farm that consumes most of our vegetable scraps and provides wonderful organic fertilizer for our plants. Each technician is careful to drain the oil from any plastic containers and we hope soon to have a 55 gallon drum of oil to replace the bottles we are forced to use due to lack of space.

We have invested in low energy lighting in our new shop and have installed fans to try and reduce our heating and cooling costs. We always buy recycled toilet paper and paper towels for our bathrooms and, where we can, try to buy second-hand products that have already exhausted most of their carbon footprint.

The coffee used in our showroom espresso bar is fair trade organic and we buy organic milk whenever possible. And our water fountain is supplied by a Georgia company, to help reduce the fuel required to get it here.

Though we have a long way to go before we can call ourselves a true eco-friendly organization, we feel every conscious effort we make to help sustain this beautiful planet is the right effort. Susie Leiper, formally of BCM, was a great inspiration to us in our “Green Campaign” and we hope other motorcycle shops will soon follow suit.
