TOURING SPORT DUCATI DOMINATES BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK
Touring Sport Ducati dominated the SunTrust MOTO-ST race at Barber Motorsports Park on Sunday, winning both the SST and GST classes of the 2.5 hour national race on their Ducshop Built Ducatis.
Ryan Elleby and Ryan Gordon brought the team’s Ducati 848 home with a 39 second lead on reigning champion and points leader Aprilia USA, tightening up their second position to a seven point margin. Reigning GST Champion’s, Frank Shockley, Brad Phillips and Peter Friedland also crossed the finish line with under a minute to spare on their Ducati Paul Smart 1000 - despite a 10 second penalty – taking them within a point of leader James Gang Racing (Buell).
Both engines were built and maintained by Ducshop and the team is supported by Touring Sport Ducati, Speedy Moto, Robby Byrd, AGIP Oil, Swat Motorcycle, JEV Limited and Brad Haynes.
The team heads next to Kansas for round five of the seven round SunTrust Moto-ST Championship at Heartland Park in Topeka.
