Choosing a motorcycle exhaust ▾

Choose the right component

A slip-on usually replaces the silencer section, while a full or semi-full system can replace additional pipework. A link pipe or catalyst replacement is a separate component, not automatically a complete system. Check the selected part reference and the exact contents in each listing.

Check fitment and clearance

Match the exact model, year, engine and original exhaust configuration. Confirm compatibility with luggage, passenger footrests, center stands, bodywork and any existing collectors. Photos can show an alternative finish, one part of a larger assembly or separately sold accessories; use the selected option and listed contents to establish what is supplied.

Plan installation and tuning

Follow the manufacturer’s fitting instructions and check required brackets, seals, hardware and heat shields. Some configurations require ECU remapping or additional electronic components. Confirm those requirements before fitting; a servo eliminator does not resolve every possible engine or catalyst warning.

Check intended use

Read each product’s street-use or closed-course restrictions. European homologation labels do not establish approval for US road use. Race and decat components must be used only as specified in the listing and manufacturer’s instructions.
