Prepare before cleaning

Empty pockets. Remove only the armor, liners and electronics that the product instructions identify as removable; note their positions. Follow separate airbag-system instructions. Close permitted fasteners to prevent snagging. Never put an assembled electronic airbag system in a wash.

02

Choose the method for the material

Leather: gently remove surface dirt, then wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking; use only compatible leather care products. Textile: hand- or machine-wash only if the label permits, using its specified cleaner, temperature and cycle. Treat removable liners by their own labels.

03

Dry fully and put protection back

Dry leather at room temperature away from direct sun and heaters. For textiles, use the label's drying method; do not assume heat or ironing is allowed. Once dry, refit all armor and liners correctly. Check closures, adjustment and coverage before riding.

Before your next ride

  • Clean and fully dry
  • Correctly reassembled
  • Fit and function checked
