Choose the correct part. A replacement stand, bolt-on foot enlarger, raised support, pivot screw, and stand-delete bracket serve different purposes. Check the included components and selected finish; an installed photo can show motorcycle parts that are not supplied.
Match the original stand. Confirm the exact model, year, suspension version, mounting point, and stand-foot shape. Similar-looking stands can differ between standard, lowered, touring, sport, and redesigned models. Check pivot hardware, springs, switches, and any parts that must be reused.
Check height and parked lean. A raised foot changes the motorcycle's parked angle. Suspension-height changes, luggage, tire sizes, and the parking surface can also affect how the motorcycle rests. Confirm the intended configuration before choosing a raised support or replacement stand.
Inspect operating clearance. Check full deployment and retraction, center-stand clearance, springs, cushion rubber, and clearance during riding. Follow product-specific track-use restrictions and use the manufacturer's installation and torque instructions. A foot enlarger does not guarantee stability on every surface.
Understand stand-delete brackets. A delete bracket removes the side stand and may require a specific rearset system and separate motorcycle support. Read the exact application requirements before ordering.
