Rear linkage & ride-height buying guide
Identify the component
A link rod, rocker, link plate, spring retainer, shock support and engine or frame mounting plate perform different jobs. Confirm the supplier part number, mounting arrangement and complete kit contents. A similar photo does not establish interchangeability.
Understand the height change
Seat-height changes depend on the motorcycle, rider load and suspension setup. Check the stated adjustment range and whether it applies to seat height, linkage length or another measurement. A lowering link may change geometry, ground clearance, spring behavior and sidestand lean.
Plan installation and setup
Use a qualified motorcycle suspension technician and the current manufacturer instructions. Confirm the shock and spring combination, bearing arrangement, fastener torque, full-travel clearance and permitted adjustment limits. Retainer work may require unloading the suspension and a suitable spring compressor. Check any restrictions on track or two-person use.
Check finish and supplied parts
Photographs can show a representative finish, multiple options or installation context. Use the selected finish and listed part number, and confirm any separately required rods, brackets or bolt kits with Ducshop.
