Ducshop · Buying & fitment guide
A cartridge kit changes components inside a compatible fork. A triple clamp locates the fork legs, while a complete fork assembly is a different purchase. Confirm the actual supplied component before comparing upgrades.
Updated November 6, 2026. Buying guidance; use the exact component manufacturer’s installation instructions.
Identify the component you need
| Component | Check before choosing |
|---|---|
| Fork cartridge kit | Exact motorcycle and fork application, spring requirements, contents and setup instructions. |
| Upper or lower triple clamp | Correct position, fork-clamp diameter, steering stem and connected hardware. An upper clamp is not a complete clamp kit. |
| Complete fork or fork component | Actual assembly supplied and the required axle, brake, fender and clamp interfaces. |
| Electronic suspension eliminator | Compatible electronics and intended conversion. It is not a cartridge, spring or damping upgrade. |
Confirm your installed fork
Record the motorcycle’s model year and trim, and identify the fork manufacturer, model and any previous conversion. Similar-looking motorcycles may use different forks. For example, the current CNC Racing PS523B listing covers specified non-SP Hypermotard applications and excludes SP versions.
For cartridge kits, confirm whether springs are supplied or selected separately and what rider, load and riding-use information the suspension specialist needs. Do not choose spring rate or oil specifications from a generic buying guide. Use the exact kit’s instructions and a qualified installer’s assessment.
Plan the complete clamp installation
Check upper and lower clamping diameters at their respective mounting positions. Confirm steering stem, bearings, head nut, offset and all required fasteners. Matching one diameter alone does not establish compatibility.
Check ignition-switch and steering-lock provisions, instrument and headlight mounting, clip-ons or bars, steering damper position and cable or hose clearance. Some current listings are only an ignition bracket, steering tube, dust cover or bolt kit. These supporting items should not be mistaken for a complete triple clamp assembly.
Account for electronic suspension
Before replacing electronically controlled suspension components with mechanical components, identify what the motorcycle’s electronics and the selected conversion require. An eliminator addresses a specified electronic connection; it does not restore the removed suspension’s electronic adjustment.
The current HealTech CESE-01 listing is an eliminator, although it appears alongside cartridge kits. Module requirements vary by CESE version and application. Have Ducshop confirm the correct part and quantity for the exact conversion rather than assuming one module covers every component.
Before you order
- Supply model year, trim, installed fork identity and relevant part numbers.
- Confirm springs, bearings, head nut, brackets and fasteners included or sold separately.
- Plan brake, axle, fender, cockpit and electronics compatibility where applicable.
- Use exact torque, fluid and setup specifications from the manufacturer’s instructions.
The current Fork Lowers collection includes a listing described as a Motocorse / Öhlins FGRT 214 fork kit. Read its actual contents; the collection name alone does not describe what every product supplies.
Common questions
Can I order using only fork diameter?
No. Fork dimensions are one part of fitment. The stem, geometry, mounting interfaces and connected equipment also need to match.
Is every item in the cartridge category a cartridge kit?
No. Read the product title and contents. The current range also includes an electronic suspension eliminator.
Check fitment with Ducshop
Send your motorcycle’s year, make, model, trim, installed components and the part number you are considering. Call 770-424-8804, email parts@ducshop.com or contact Ducshop before ordering if anything is unclear.
Special-order availability and lead times depend on the selected item. Confirm current availability with us; a catalog listing does not establish immediate shipment.
