Fast flashing is a symptom. The right fix depends on the whole lighting circuit.
LED conversions can change the electrical load recognized by the motorcycle, but fast flashing can also accompany a failed connection, incompatible component or other fault. Identify what changed before selecting a remedy.
Record the pattern before buying a fix
Note whether the problem affects left, right, both sides or hazards, and whether the dashboard shows a fault. List the original and replacement front and rear lights, any relay changes and existing resistors. If a previously correct system suddenly changes without a modification, inspect it for a fault rather than assuming it needs an LED conversion accessory.
Use the instructions for the exact light
The prescribed solution can differ by motorcycle and installed combination. Motodynamic’s model-specific installation information distinguishes original front LEDs, incandescent lights and aftermarket signals. A resistor value copied from another bike can be wrong. Some sequential lights also need the expected timing to complete their pattern.
Avoid stacking electrical workarounds
Do not combine extra resistors, relay changes or coding recommendations from unrelated installations. Follow a supported system-specific approach. Manufacturer-specified resistors can become hot and need the stated mounting precautions. If the instructions do not clearly cover your setup, have a qualified technician diagnose it.
Verify every lighting function
After the correct repair, check both directions, hazards, running lights, brake functions and the complete sequential cycle where fitted. Check for dashboard warnings. If behavior remains inconsistent, stop substituting parts and provide Ducshop with the component SKUs and a clear description of the symptoms.
Quick comparison
| Observation | Useful next check |
|---|---|
| Started after LED conversion | Compare the complete setup with the exact installation instructions. |
| Only one side affected | Inspect that side’s supported components and connections. |
| Incomplete sequential pattern | Check the manufacturer’s timing and compatibility guidance. |
| Sudden fault with no changes | Diagnose the existing system before adding conversion parts. |
Before you order
Save these details with your parts plan.
- Bike year/model and regional version
- All front/rear signal SKUs
- Existing relay, resistors or coding changes
- Fault location and dash message
- Short video of the symptom if safe to capture
Common questions
Should I immediately add resistors?
No. Establish the correct solution for the motorcycle and lights first.
Can the front signals affect an integrated rear light?
Yes, on systems whose instructions specify compatibility with the front signal arrangement. Check the exact manufacturer chart.
