Motorcycle Rearset Accessories: What You Need—and What Is Included

A replacement component and a complete rearset kit are very different purchases.

The starting point

Check the product’s exact contents and the rearset system it belongs to. An accessory described for a particular aftermarket rearset is not automatically compatible with the original motorcycle brackets.

Identify the system already on the bike

Record the manufacturer, model and generation of any installed rearsets. Photograph the main plates, peg mounts, shift linkage and brake side. An aftermarket assembly can make the motorcycle’s original parts diagram insufficient. The same rearset brand may use different components across generations or applications.

Read the included-parts list

A peg, adapter, heel guard, cover or replacement tip may be sold individually. A catalog photo can show a complete assembly to explain where the part goes. Check the written bill of materials and exact SKU. Confirm whether springs, fasteners and left/right components are supplied or reused.

Keep control geometry compatible

Changing peg position can affect brake pedal and shift lever reach. Linkage and shift-pattern changes need explicit system support, especially with a quickshifter. Do not assume a visually similar rod, joint or pivot is interchangeable. Have Ducshop identify the correct replacement from the actual assembly before buying.

Check service parts before committing

For a complete upgrade, consider replacement peg and pedal availability, usable adjustment positions and the manufacturer’s instructions. For a repair, replace damaged parts using the supported components and inspect the rest of the assembly. Have a qualified technician verify brake and shifting operation after installation.

Common questions

Does the accessories collection contain complete rearsets?

Read each listing. A collection title does not establish that every item is a complete assembly.

Can replacement pegs fit original brackets?

Only when the manufacturer explicitly supports that application or specifies the correct adapter.
